Friends Provident International Rolls Out Proposition To NRIs In Singapore

, has launched a new proposition to the non-resident Indian market in Singapore.

The proposition will be available to the firm's business partners, which include independent financial advisors and banks, as well as the NRI population in Singapore.

Like FPI's recently launched British and Australian expatriate propositions, it will kick off with knowledge packs.

These will offer research findings and expert insights tailored to the financial planning needs of NRIs, so as to sharpen their decision-making, the firm says.

“The NRI diaspora is a growing phenomenon. India has the largest expatriate population in the world,” said the head of the global expatriate proposition at Friends Provident International, Philip Cernik.

“Based on our latest research findings across Hong Kong, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates, planning for property purchase was the top priority for NRIs followed by children’s education and retirement. Our NRI proposition offers solutions to meet their needs by educating and familiarising NRIs on these key considerations as part of their overall financial planning.”

FPI first launched its NRI proposition in the United Arab Emirates in June last year.
